--- 11-song didgeridoo solo journey through underworld of vibration fantasies, played only on one didgeridoo at a time. 10 tracks plus one bonus track that you get once you buy the album! ---
Vibrapuls is a didgeridoo exploration in a circle from vibration to pulse and back. Many times. It gives oportunity to the listener to understand the archeosound of didgeridoo as if one is on psychedelic extensions, without any use of any kind of drugs but sound. This time didgeridoo sound is zoomed in, streched out, distorted and restored, focused and reflected, compressed and expressed for the listener to enjoy in a quiet place, in front of big speakers, or in the darkness of headphones. It is indeed an opportunity to hear the sound of didgeridoo like never before. The punch, the wideness, and the diversity of a single didgeridoo played at a time have expanded far beyond previous concepts of Dubravko Lapaine.
The new ways of playing didgeridoo go hand in hand with the new sound story. Mixture of bass and high frequency, of drone and aircode, of vibration and pulse, of regular and very irregular pulsations have as well reached their new potential. Music here is very abstract. It is very hard to attach the mind to it. Yet it comes from deep within the innerspace of body, reflecting what is both cosmic and human, giving us a totally new and at the same time timeless expression of "spiritual music". This is an album without a hidden agenda. It is a very honest and direct expression of a lifelong pursue for infinity through archeosound of an archeodance between didgeridoo and human body.
The visual art of Lonac is something to behold from close and far. It is a game of one line of life that creates many forms, and teaches us that something which is not understandable from the zoomed-in state, becomes very clear when we take a distance. It was a big honour and pleasure to have this artwork covering the songs of the unknown depth of darkness seen through a didgeridoo.
-Very special thanks to Marcus Nübling for a bespoke compressor which gave its character for the sound of the whole Vibrapuls.
-Another special thanks to Markus Pichler for the didgeridoo on track 3, Vibrapuls.
-And another another special thanks to Bernard Schlageck for lending me his Duende didgeridoo for Icix.
May the cosmic forces always be benevolent to you!
